ABOUT KENNY MCDONALD
Kenny McDonald is the Founder of Little Dry Consulting, LLC. Little Dry Consulting provides global location guidance for companies and practical, action-oriented strategies for economic development organizations.
Kenny brings over 30 years of experience in economic development, site location consulting, and business leadership. His passion is helping produce historic economic results for economic development organizations and assisting companies in turning their location strategy into a competitive advantage.
His advice comes from direct experience in the field, helping thousands of companies make location decisions and leading public-private partnerships. He has worked at some of the highest-performing economic development organizations in the United States. Most recently, he led the Columbus, Ohio region to unprecedented success, which included attracting over $80B in new capital investment and the largest projects in Ohio history. Before his time in Ohio, McDonald worked in Charlotte, NC, Albuquerque, NM, and Savannah, Georgia.
He also spent six years as a global site location advisor for Fluor Corporation's Global Location Strategies team, leading teams in the location of industrial facilities worldwide. His experience in life sciences, energy generation, data centers, and manufacturing helps him understand the complex decisions companies make in selecting where they place their capital and retain and attract their workforce.
Kenny has served as the Chairman of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and has been honored to as one of the Top 50 economic developers in the United States. In 2016, he was appointed to the inaugural Investment Advisory Council (IAC) by the U.S. Department of Commerce to boost foreign direct investment. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University (MPA) and Dickinson State University (B.A.). He is originally from Montana and resides in Ohio.
